Being an artist is more than what I do

It's a way of being -

it's how I see.

It's looking at a tree and seeing the seed that sproated,

the roots that hold it and creatures that climb it.

It's affected by climate.

It's seeing faces in everything

and everything beyond your face.

It's because of

and despite of

everything we face.

It's using everything I know

to discover something new.

making something out of nothing

Its order out of chaos;

Transforming parts of me-

It's alchemy.

It's finding potential in what's broken,

Hearing all your words- unspoken.

It's solving riddles whilst dancing with no inhibitions.

Trust in nothing but intuition.

Its losing everything and holding onto something.

It;s my guide, my tool

My child and my master.

.

It confines me and binds me

It consumes me and it fuels me

It controls me and it frees me

.

The only thing that can never leave me.
